How Many Calories to Lose Weight?

If you are overweight or obese then you are certainly worried about calories. You may be wondering how many calories you should ear or burn daily.

Simply saying, to get rid of one pound per week, you need to reduce your calories by 500 per day. There are two simple ways of doing this; eat / drink 250 lesser calories daily and burn additional 250 calories by performing physical exercise (e.g. walking or jogging for 2 to 3 miles daily).

Another way to cut back on calories is to watch your portion sizes. Go for relatively smaller, leaner, pieces of meats, perhaps. Eat as much vegetables as possible as they are low in calories but contain higher quantities of vitamins and nutrients) and avoid deep fried food (cheese burgers, fried chicken, French fries etc.). Doing these easy things will have a dynamic impact on your weight.

Warning – Starving is not an answer!

It’s important to remember that you don’t have to starve yourself to lower your calorie consumption. As mentioned above, just take smaller portions of the foods you currently enjoy. If you need to burn those extra calories, again, you do not necessarily need to run miles a day or join a fitness club. Just remember to use the stairs, or park your car away from the door when going to work.

Today let me share some natural and practical steps that play vital role in decreasing ones weight. That is, what to, where to, when to and how to eat. Because, it is eating habit which increases the human body weight.

Early rise from the bed and a healthy breakfast will give the perfect start to lose weight.

I may have slept late night; but six-seven hour sleep is good enough and two tumbler of water is must before going to table. We should eat up to 50 percent of our stomach capacity, when we eat. With this, a glass of milk or other morning beverages will add the purpose. Food stuffs containing low complex carbohydrates are always preferred as they digest soon.
Advised to eat: eggs, fruits, bread, corn flakes…etc

-Pre lunch snacks

We should always remember that we should eat once for every four hours at least. Leaving the stomach empty beyond five fours will lead to gastrointestinal problems.

So what after breakfast? Again I learnt that snacks are the better option than munching junk foods. Few biscuits with lemon tea or one potato or a mutton slice with coffee is the best example.

Advised to eat: Biscuits, vegetable salad or low fat salsa

Now we have arrived in the major junction. This is the stage wherein ‘real and solid food’ should go into the body. With half day over, the digestive system will naturally be ready to grind good amount of food. In simple term, lunch is something more than breakfast; both in terms of quality and quantity.

I was wondering how much should I eat? Then I got the perfect answer. As per scientific studies, one should eat up to 80 percent of his stomach capacity, unlike 50 percent for breakfast. On practicing, l learnt that eating up to 80 percent will keep me active for three or four more hours.

Advised to eat: Lunch of your choice. But avoid oily and heavy fat containing food. Or else, this will force you to doze off.

Health tip: A power nap, anywhere between 15-30 minutes will fill energy into you.

Snacks: Say it or not, everyone likes to eat snacks. Again, it should be noted that quantity of the snacks should be lesser than breakfast. Again beverages are welcome.

Advised to eat: Food rolls, burgers, hotdogs and fruit juices.

The last step of the day; dinner. Most of us loose our grip on the food during this stage. A cocktail dinner is enough to spoil the day long food practice carried by you. Earlier, I figured it out when my colleagues put up a good show at the table and could not practice the food-diet at least for two-three days. Again we should note that not more than 75 percent of the stomach should be stuffed with the dinner. It is mandatory that you should keep at least 10-15 percent space for fruits, particularly those which help in digestion; like banana, orange and sapota.

Health tip: Take a brief walk within 30 minutes of dinner.

Let the complete air go through the other nostril.Now, again inhale the air from the nostril which you let the air to go. Take as much as air inside and hold the nostril in which you have inhaled. Leave the air from the other.

This particular exercise may seem to be difficult in starting days. But as the SAY says; practice makes man perfect, the more you practice, expert you will be. Slowly you will learn that you are losing weight.

This is easier one when compared the other two. Drinking water in empty stomach is always preferred one. This will help in smooth blood flow, easy breathing and the filtered water provides much calories, that are needed to the body.

There you have it. 3 simple ways to lose weight. Of course, these are not enough when you are extremely overweight or obese. However, those will help you to maintain your weight and keep your body healthy.

5 Exercise to Burn Tummy Fat

If you’re looking to start up a workout program to slim the tummy and get rid of your love handles, performing the right exercises will be key.  By fully challenging all the muscles surrounding the core region, you can see better fat burning benefits and really get that toned look that you’re going for.

The Plank

Try and perform a set of 12 reps at a time before taking a rest and continuing on.

Lying Leg Raises

Third, leg raises are the next exercise to include.  These are fantastic for working the lower abdominal muscles, which tends to be problematic for most women.

To perform them, lie flat on the ground and then slowly lift the legs up off the floor and bring them to ninety degrees.  Pause for a second and then lower so they’re just about touching the floor again.

Don’t let them come completely down however as this will really reduce the tension on the abs and the goal is to keep them in a constantly contracted state.

The Bicycle

The bicycle is another excellent tummy exercise that will firm those love handles quickly.  To perform this one lift the legs slightly above the ground while you bring one knee into the chest.  While doing so, simultaneously twist the body so the opposite side comes to meet that knee and then reverse directions for the next rep.

Perform ten reps for each side in a row and then relax again before doing a second set.

Accordion Sit-Ups

Finally, the last tummy toner you should be doing is the accordion sit-up.  These are very simple and straightforward.  First, get into a flat lying position on the floor.

From there, bring the upper body up while you bring the knees up to meet it at the same time.  In essence, it should look like you’re an accordion as you do this movement.

Pause at the top and then lower back down again.

So there you have the top tummy toners that will quickly firm up your stomach and help you see faster results.
